Louis L. Twillman

Louis Lester Raymond Twillman, son of the late Lester W. and Thelma Lucille Anderson Twillman was born October 1, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on the morning of Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in Centralia, Missouri, having attained the age of seventy two years. He attended school at Riverview Gardens in St. Louis, graduating in 1963. Louis made a profession of faith at a young age and was a member of the First Christian Church of Richland. He was involved in church and always helped people in need. Louis proudly served his country in the Air National Guard of Missouri for eight years and was honorably discharged on December 22, 1974. He worked at R.L. Pelham Company in St. Louis, Missouri in the early seventies before starting in 1974 at Orscheln’s Manufacturing and became the general manager of Qualico Inc. He was instrumental with a joint adventure with Orscheln’s and a Japanese Company to form USHin. He always had a strong work ethic and later opened up his dry cleaning business in Moberly, Missouri. Louis loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, riding his motorcycle, and bird watching. He also loved working on cars and racing cars in his spare time. Louis was preceded in death by his father in 1963, his mother in 2011, and one sister, Vida Lape in 2005. Louis leaves behind to cherish his memory, two daughters: Amy Orscheln (Shane) of Hallsville, MO and Sarah Twillman of Moberly, MO; four grandchildren: Hayden, Andrew and Aaron Orscheln and Trenton Johnson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was proud of his family, and each one held a special place in his heart. The wonderful memories Louis created for his family and friends will last a lifetime. Our loss was certainly Heaven’s gain! Services were held at 10:00a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Pastor Tim Gola officiating. Special music selections included “Oceans” - Hillsong, ”Blessed Assurance” - John Berry and “I Can Only Imagine”- Mercy Me. Family and friends served as escorts. Special memories were shared. Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the New Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Louis Twillman to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and may be left at the funeral home.
