Sharon Kay Gundram

Sharon Kay Gundram, daughter of the late Reavil Edwin Sr. and Charlotte Elizabeth (Nickolaus) Hankins, was born on February 22, 1950, in Richland, Missouri, where she grew up and attended school, graduating in 1968 from Richland High School. Sharon made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age, and was baptized in the Big Piney River. Sharon was a member of First Baptist Church in Richland and in days gone by, had once played the organ. She was married and moved to Florida for a short time before moving back home to Richland. Sharon was blessed by God with her precious daughter, Bobette whom she was so proud of. Sharon worked as Camp Coordinator for Pulaski County Baptist Association for a number of years before going to work for Civil Service in Ft. Leonard Wood, as a secretary for the Transportation Division. Her hobbies included playing the piano, reading, singing, and playing computer games. However, Sharon’s greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family and friends. However, nothing compared to those special times with her grandchildren. Throughout her illness, she kept a positive attitude and as always had a wonderful sense of humor. Sharon entered into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in Osage Beach, Missouri, with her loving family by her side, having attained the age of 68. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Bobette Shaw (Tony Jr.) of Richland, MO; 3 grandchildren: Autumn Valentine (Bobby) of Justin, TX, Tony G. “Tre” Shaw III (Ashley) of Lebanon, MO, and Christopher Shaw of Kaiser, MO; 3 great grandchildren: Trinity Haynie, Zachary and Jacob Shaw; two brothers: Keith Hankins Sr. (Linda) of Branson, MO and Reavil “Skip” Hankins (Marla) of Richland, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Peggy Ann Lambert, and one brother, Kenneth G. Hankins. Sharon’s home! Today, we can celebrate her life and take comfort in knowing that her family and friends will treasure the good memories she made while here. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018 in the First Baptist Church of Richland with Pastor Bob Lilly officiating. Tony Shaw, Sr. read the obituary and Kimberly Smith read Sharon’s favorite poem, “If You Could See Me Now.” Favorite music selections included, “Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone” and “Holes in the Floor of Heaven.” Trumpeter, Marci (Hankins) Walters played “How Great Thou Art.” Serving as escorts included, Tre’ Shaw, Jonathan Stradt, Dustin Britzman, Gary Brown, Raymond Shaw and Brian Smith. Honorary escorts included, Keith Hankins, Jr., Bro. Dennis Crowder, Martin Hankins and Christopher Shaw. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery with Marci playing, “It Is Well With My Soul.” Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Sharon Kay Gundram to either the Shriners Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project and may be left at the Memorial Chapel of Richland.
